How Does the SunPower News Affect Mirasol Solar?

While this news is disappointing, as we’ve partnered with SunPower for years, we don’t anticipate any direct impact on our services. SunPower’s Maxeon panels and Enphase inverter technology have always met our rigorous standards, and we continue to trust in their quality.

Is Mirasol Solar Filing for Bankruptcy?

Absolutely not. Mirasol Solar remains a stable and successful solar company. We are here for the long run and will continue to serve our customers with the same dedication.

What Happens to My Warranty Now That SunPower Is Out of Business?

For customers using SunPower-branded Maxeon panels, we expect the manufacturer to honor their product warranty. Enphase has already confirmed they will continue to support warranty claims for their inverters. We’ll assist you in ensuring your system is properly registered for continued warranty coverage.

While we’re optimistic about warranty coverage from manufacturers, there may be some gaps. For example, SunPower’s warranty covered certain service visits, which might not be included in the manufacturers’ warranties. Mirasol Solar is exploring ways to ensure homeowners are supported with cost-effective solutions for any such coverage gaps.

You can still trust that Maxeon panels and Enphase inverters are built to last, and their high quality will continue to provide reliable performance.

I Have REC Solar Panels. Will SunPower’s Situation Impact Me?

At this time, we don’t anticipate any issues. REC has assured us they will honor the product warranty, and we’re working to confirm this.

I Have Enphase Inverters. Will These Be Affected?

No, Enphase has confirmed that they will uphold their product warranties for microinverters used in SunPower systems. You can rest assured that your inverter is covered.

What Happens to My SunPower Monitoring System (or PVS Monitoring)?

Right now, we’re unsure how SunPower’s monitoring services will be handled through the bankruptcy process. However, Mirasol Solar is working on a solution and will keep you informed as we learn more.

Mirasol Solar will continue to support all of our customers throughout this process and ensure that your systems are operating at peak performance.
